Banana Guy for November: Max Konnor

Max Konnor -- in his current form -- has only been on the scene for a few years now, but this muscled man-fucker has made one helluva impression. He's a cam4 ambassador, a Fleshjack boy and an award winner.

Did you know, though, that instead of a career in porn, he could have become a man of God instead (in the very real sense)?

"I'm a small town boy from Georgia," . "I was raised by extremely religious and strict parents. One week consisted of school, church, work and more church. ... I was ordained as a minister when I was 14 and was a pastor by the time I was 16. I wore three-piece suits to school and carried a bible everywhere."

He might look familiar. He has done work on the stage in New York, appeared on TV shows, and even had a short-lived career in porn under the name Isaiah Foxx.

"I started in porn, maybe, about 10 or so years ago under a completely different name," . "I was not a top. And I did that for probably about a year. Then I left the industry and I started acting mainstream; that's what I went to school for. I did Broadway, off-Broadway, lots of television and it was fall of 2017, and I had just got done doing an ABC pilot called Salamander and we were waiting to hear word from that. Meanwhile, I was getting ready to transition my life to LA to start recording and we got word that we didn't get picked up.

"And at that time, I was also looking at friends who had been on Broadway and had [...] great careers. They were asking if they could come and sleep on my sofa. I think I got mentally to the place where my love for the craft didn't exceed everything that I had given up for it to actually work for me. So, I started doing porn again!"

Though he dipped his toe into bottoming when he started so many years ago, he refuses to do it on camera or in his private life.

last year: "I don’t bottom in my personal life anymore and I won’t do it for any of you. It’s my body."

"Subconsciously, bottoming for me brings back too many memories of addiction and stay away from it," he added. " I don’t like it.  You won’t get a surprise bottom scene AT ALL."

Sadly, for all the fans, Konnor has experienced his share of hatred and bigotry. He even started his own boutique talent agency, called , to help other black and PoC porn stars navigate the business.

"We are making progress in the industry as far as models of colour goes but we still have a way to go," . "It will take models continuously, respectfully, having conversations with the industry. No more yelling back and forth. That changes nothing.

"I’m launching a talent management company, Haus Of Konnor, specifically for models of colour that will not only make sure we are getting more work but the right kind of work. There will be workshops to develop the model as a whole (budgeting, branding, mental health, etc.). These workshops will be taught by leading industry professionals, which will also create a great networking environment for new models."

His favorite scene?

"I think my favorite scene that I recorded to date was my scene with Taylor Reign. It was for CockyBoys and it was super hot. It was fun to make. It was very natural. The chemistry between us was amazing."
