Tag Eriksson - Renaissance Man

While we might expect to learn about the personal life of a Gay VN award-winning porn star (for Jet Set's "The Hole") in a skin mag or pornoblog, recently found himself on the cover of  - of all publications -  Scanorama, the in-flight magazine for Scandinavian Airlines.

It seems Tag (aka Fredrik Eklund) comes from a long line of accomplished Swedes. His grandparents,  Bengt Eklund and Fylgia Zadig, were famous actors and starred in several Bergman films - so the call to "acting" is in his blood. His dad is an economist and author who even had one of his political thrillers made into a TV series.

 As for Tag himself:

• at 18, he created a global foreign exchange database for Scandinavia's largest bank.
• at 21, he started an Internet company with a former Swedish prime minister. The same year he also produced at chart-topping song in Japan.
• at 26, he was the cover boy for  Jet Set's huge 2003 hit "The Hole," for which he won a GayVN award for Best Solo Performance.
• he recently published his first novel, Bananflugornas herre ("Lord of the Fruit Flies") based on his experiences in gay porn.
• he's currently the Vice President of a small real estate firm in New York.

Hats off to Scandinavian Airlines for recognizing their multi-talented countryman. Can you imagine American Airlines ever doing the same for a gay porn model?
