Colton Ford goes pop

is back! The singer turned porn star turned pop star just released a new, somewhat cheesy, single called "The Way You Love Me," a teaser from his upcoming album "Tug of War."

Although once successful in the porn industry -- Ford won the 2003 for Performer of the Year -- he decided he needed a change. With the help of his boyfriend, , Ford struggled to find his place in the much more mainstream music industry. They documented their efforts in the film "."

In 2004, Ford found an audience in dance clubs and bars. He even achieved a #7 hit on the Top 10 Billboard Club Chart for his cover of Stevie Wonder's “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”

But why dance music? 

In  Ford explained his decision. "I always felt that the dance music genre was a viable arena for any artist who didn't fit the mold that the major labels want you to fit when you're looking at top forty.

"It's a lot more forgiving and encompasses all kinds of musical stylings and all kinds of diversity in terms of the artists." 

The new album will be available later this summer. But there's even more news for former fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the 45-year-old hottie. Ford plays Sheriff Trout on Here!TV's vampire series . 

Who knew that cumming on command could land you a record deal and a stint on a gay drama series? Why don't they teach us these things in college?
