Robert van Damme extradited to the Czech Republic

Robert van Damme (aka Robert Kovarik) is taking a forced break from making porn after he was arrested on July 25 on an international warrant. He is being returned to the Czech Republic, where he was convicted, in absentia, for a series of crimes committed almost 10 years ago.

A report from a Czech newspaper indicated that he is wanted in connection with a robbery, kidnapping and murder. In fact, he was considered the mastermind behind the crimes. 

US Marshalls arrested the actor at an airport in Georgia.

His wife confirmed the news, attempting to put a positive spin on it:

 "Robert asked to be extradited from Georgia to California where he lives and he will most likely sign the extradition paperwork back to Czech where he will reopen the case and be present to defend the charges against him. [...] At this point in time what we will miss for sure is seeing Robert perform in front of the camera. But as we all know him: nutrition freak, workout guru and trainer so we all know he will use this time behind bars to get in better shape than ever before. So when he comes back it will be worth the wait!"

His twitter account is still being updated. One of his latest posts: "Getting excited to be in Europe again!" Hmmmm, really?
