Gay Hoopla seems an odd name, given that the usual definition of hoopla is making a big fuss. But as we discovered, this collection of very good looking young amateurs is worth a bit of a fuss.

Tour

The Gay Hoopla tour is unconventional in that they spend a lot of the homepage telling you how different they are from other sites and intriguing you with a "secret menu" to get content that no one else on the internet is privy to. They also claim to be "RANKED AS THE #1 PREMIUM ADULT GAY SITE IN THE WORLD," which is simply untrue by any measure.

To find out what's inside the members' area, simply click the "Videos" or "Models" links at the top of the page. You'll only get to view several of the very latest free clips though.

Usability

The site is easy enough to get around with two main menu items: "Videos" and "Models." There is a general search box and videos have category tags like "hairy," "tattoo" and "fucking" to help you find specific content. The model roster is also cross-referenced to all the videos a particular model has starred in. The "Too Hard" link takes you to an Amazon page for boner pills, so you'll want to stay away from this.

There is a section called the "Secret Menu", which appears to be additional content available to members. However, non-members cannot access details about these scenes. Updates to this section are random.

The Men and the Action

When we first reviewed Gay Hoopla, it was best known for its daily interactive webcam sessions with different models. Although many of the site's actual videos are from these sessions, the site stopped doing the cam shows long ago.

The guys are very good looking and nicely built college jock types. Some are truly breathtaking and appear new to the porn world. Newer videos often start with the cameraman interviewing the model or models, before the action takes place. These single camera scenes have a competent, yet homemade style to them, and all of the action and cum shots are caught. You'll see videos that introduce a new model, regular solo and self shot solo videos, and hardcore videos that pair up guys who have good chemistry.

Many older videos are archived cam shows and are often shot in the guy's own place so there are a variety of settings and pretty basic camera work. A good part of the show is spent responding to fans' questions and comments. Over the course of approximately an hour, the performer gradually strips off his clothes and starts to stroke -- or poke -- himself, all the while paying attention to the fan chatter.

Something we did not like: many of the videos start with ads for boner pills.

Video Details

Newer and non-camshow videos are available in high definition and offer a clean, clear image. The archived cam shows are, obviously, lower quality overall.

Starting October 2018, the site started relying on a new, professional production firm, so newer videos are more polished.

The site currently has about 1070 videos in the members area. The site is being updated about three times a week.

Image and Other Content

There are now approximately 350 digital image galleries, averaging 20 pictures each. Most recorded webcam shows do not include an image gallery.

Summing Up

Gay Hoopla has been able to attract a very hot and fresh group of young performers and is worth taking a membership if you like the guys in the tour.
