A gay porn model said that Israeli airport officials abused their power when they detained, strip-searched and interrogated him. He claimed he was targeted simply because he has a “Muslim-sounding name.”

 

Ibrahim Moreno, whose background is French and Cuban, said the incident took place at Ben Gurion International Airport on Friday. He was traveling to perform at a club in Tel Aviv. 

 

To make matters worse, he said he was treated the same way on Monday when he was leaving the country.

 

“Finally at home after a rather dreadful weekend,” the Lucas Entertainment model wrote on Facebook. “I never thought traveling to another country would make me feel like shit.”

 

He also wrote: “Today at the Tel Aviv airport back home I have been humiliated, [they] treated me like a terrorist and simply because my name is IBRAHIM; why can [I not] have a name of Arab origin? I’m GAY, I’m not a MUSLIM, I don’t speak any Arabic language ..."

 

The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) released a statement saying that Moreno was not targeted, but that these inspections are “carried out on all travelers leaving the country regardless of their identity, nationality, etc, and in the procedures laid out by the authorized officials.”

 

However, on Thursday morning Moreno grew agitated with all the coverage. He took to Twitter and wrote: "I love Tel Aviv, I love my Israeli friends, I love their food, please no more comments. STOP!!"
